Food Safety

Food Safety is one of the key elements to improving public health and nutrition, and is coupled with a ultimate task to insure food security. We perform screening of infectious agents and chemical contaminants in different food clusters and drinking water almost on a regular basis in attempts to determine a magnitude of exposure to microbiological and chemical hazards. We are heavily focused on understanding of serotype and genetic variability of foodborne agents, and on that of their population structures and transmission dynamics, being very critical for developing the advanced measures and strategies for disease prevention.
